Question

Please Help-IE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY!

Jan 15, 2014 4:21AM PST

Internet explorer comes up but there is no tool bar. I can not do anything because when I type something in the address bar internet explorer disappears. Some how I followed the wrong directions and changed all my .exe files to internet explorer. Now I only have access to Opera. I can't pull up nothing in the control panel. I'm stuck. If I could get IE to load properly I'd have access to other programs. I can't down load anything either. I'm stuck! Please Help! Windows XP Professional is my operating system.

"Windows XP Professional is my operating system."

Be careful about that statement as folk may take you literally.

Do try the old ways such as:

1. Tap Alt+F
2. Run IEXPLORE in it's own safe mode (this is not XP's safe mode and I'll give you the benefit you are a XP eXPert.)
3. The usual item in Control Panel has a reset defaults for IE under internet options. Again, XP users tend to be experts so I just share the basics.
