Question

Please HELP I'm going out the country with wifi camera

Aug 18, 2014 1:17AM PDT

I need help with getting my WiFi to work. I have the Samsung st150f camera. It worked on the initial set up, but when i try to email, post to Facebook, or WiFi direct. I get the message initialization failed. I have removed the battery, sd card, and reset the default and called the 1800 chat line to Samsung.

Answer
WiFi won't work when traveling (most of the time.)

I'm bumping into folk that thought a WiFi camera would work (well the WiFi bits) when away from the home or open WiFi spots. That is, so few spots would work with a camera that it may as well be none.

Maybe this is the wrong camera?

I am still in the states and the camera is only a few days old

Then do the usual

If calling in fails, exchange it. Try the CNET Samsung Forum where the Ambassador shows once in a while but as given it looks like a failed product. The support, manuals and such are not working.
