virus can cause problem..

I ran into this very problem with the computer shuting down on a game. That's where the problem began but it did grow and started shuting down on it's own at other times. There was an undetected virus in the system. After I updated all my programs (not just the virus program) and cleaned the system the problem stopped. At first I did not update ALL the programs and was reinfected. Try it you can't lose and you should be doing it anyway.
