system specs:
Compaq CQ58 Notebook
System SKU/Model # C2M29UA#ABA
Processor AMD C-60 APU, Radeon HD Graphics
System Ram: (this is the problem) system info says 8 GB installed.. but every factory specs I can find online says that there should only be 2 GB installed.. what could cause this false reading.. what effects could this cause on the computer.. how do I check to make sure this is truly a bad reading and someone didn't just do me a huge favor and do a major upgrade on my RAM without me knowing.. lol ( just joking there is no way that that happened, incase someone took that serious) im pretty good with computers.. I know enough to keep one going in good performance anyways and in all my years messing with comps. I have never encountered this problem at all.. Im sure that there is not 8GB installed tho. what could cause this. what effects would this have on computer.. my guess is its the cause of my recent troubles.. which I have explained in my other discussion.. ill add a link at a later time.. please help with any tips or ideas you have on the problem at all... I am about to upgrade my ram.. we will see if that fixes it.. just putting in an extra GB.. I will let you know the results when done.. this computer is giving me such a headache because I cant figure this out.. and if you know about a computer running at 100% CPU about 90% of the time.. or have any ideas other than upgrading ram.. please check out and drop any ideas or tips you have on the subject... ALL HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED.. if I cant get all this figured out soon. im just going to erase everything and try to reinstall windows... I have already done a complete system restore twice and it hasn't changed anything.. that is for the lagging/crashing.. I just discovered the false ram specs while I was looking for an upgrade.. PLEASE HELP.. WILL RETURN FAVOR ANY WAY I CAN.. THANK YOU.. JASON - GeekInTrain
