Jul 25, 2011 3:30AM PDT

Hi all, I really need help. I decided to restart my computer last night , and when I tried to log in , it failed and said " The Group Client Service Failed to log on. Access is Denied. " and i don't know what that means. Confused I've removed my password, and it still doesn't work. It only lets me log in to safe mode. Can someone please help, thanks!

If You Can Login To Safe Mode...

If you can login to Safe Mode using you standard account, you might also be able to use System Restore to go back to a time when things were good. Unfortunately, you've not given us the operating system you're using so specific instructions on how to do that are a little tough.. Generally though, click on Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore, then proceed to "Restore my computer to an earlier time"..

If that doesn't work, then you may need to create a new admin account. Be sure to login to Safe Mode using an account with admin rights.. Then
create a new admin account from the Control Panel . Once that's done, restart the computer and
login to "normal" Windows using the new account.. Then transfer all personal files, etc. from the old account to the new one using Windows Explorer.

Hope this helps.
