Question

Please help! Can't execute anything at all on my laptop

Mar 11, 2015 12:33AM PDT

It started this morning. Anytime I try to execute any program
it says there's a file missing (MSVCP90.dll or gdiplus.dll).
I tried to install malwarebytes but it wasn't possible because
of missing comctl32.dll. I also tried to download the comctl32.dll
from dll library only to find out that the file actually is not missing
in the system32 folder. I have lenovo e531, win 7 64bit, using panda cloud security. I have a second computer and a usb stick to help me fix this. please give me some advice.

There is malware that can do such damage so try to tell what's new, torrents, and more.

Yep, that's a hacked game.
No help here, except the suggestion to do a system restore, go back to your latest image or reinstall Windows.

Locking this thread. We don't help after illegal downloading.

Those hacked games are trouble.

I'm sorry to read such but take it as the lesson about such things. I don't want to be unclear here. Hacked games and a lot of similar cracks are infested with crapware, malware or worse.

At best you can try bootable antivirus CDs or Grif's advice but the damage may be so deep to necessitate a reload of the OS.

Since this is a cracked software issue, the thread is now closed.
