please help

I try defragmenting and this message comes up " The scan has been canceled because an error occured in file: C:\Recycled\Df1.VOB " . I have tried to locate this file but cannot find it. I wonder if anybody comes across this problem and helps me to cure it.
My operating is XP professional.

Do error checking first.

Under Check Disk options do both.
