playing videos stop start again and again

windows 7 operating system have both internet explorer and mozilla.usually use mozilla foxfire.both are up to date.have adobe 10.2 up to date.when playing videos from any source they stop and start constantly on their own.doesn't happen ALL the time but probably 95% of the time.
what do i do to solve the problem?
please don't get to technical because you'll lose me
i have hp 6510f. amd athlon II 635.
system brand new either end of Nov. or first of Dec. 2010

If the system did it from day one, it's a warranty issue.

If it started later, it could be what's been installed later or a malware issue.
