"Slide the shuffle switch (
This is a problem that seems to be ignored by Apple. There were several threads in the Apple forums around September. Some people found temporary solutions.
I have a first generation iPod Shuffle I use to play podcasts at work. I'm downloading podcasts using iTunes 7.02 on Windows XP. This problem started happening shortly before iTunes 7.
I used to be able to drag new podcasts to the Shuffle playlist, drag them to the top and drag my favorite podcast (Buzz Out Loud) to the top so it would play first. I would drag my next favorite daily podcast (Daily Giz Wiz) directly below the first so it would play second. I can still do this, however, the play order will not stick, no matter what I try. I've tried "Copy to play order" but no dice. I think iTunes is insisting on playing the newest podcast first.
This is really annoying. Apple is saying "You can sort tracks any way you want in playlists EXCEPT on the player WITHOUT a screen" Gee thanks
Anyone here have a solution? Maybe I need to move away from iTunes for downloading podcasts.
