Playing .MP4 videos - HELP!

Sep 14, 2005 10:57PM PDT

I could really use some help. I'm trying to play some .MP4 files on a PII, 450MHz, WinXP system with 512MB RAM. My video card is VisionTek Radeon 9200E with 128MB RAM. I've tried Divx player, QuickTime, mpegable, BS Player, JetAudio, and several I can't remember. I've also tried to convert them to MPEG1 or 2, but no program I've come across has succeeded.

Any advice you can offer could well save my sanity (which, at the best of times, is somewhat in doubt, anyway). Happy

Thanks.

Just one thing. A link please.

You told quite a bit but left out any example at a link for me to look over.

If it's pirated material, then don't bother posting back.

MP4 link

Hi, Bob.

I'd like to give you a link to it, but it's personal, and private. I only know it was made with a digital camcorder; wasn't told what software was used to burn it to a CD. I suppose I should mention that it's extension is actually .MP4, rather than the usual .avi, .divx, .mov, or the others.

Then it's junk. Delete it and move on?

You listed all the usual players and codecs but since you can't share then the discussion dies here.

I thought it might be, Bob. I was stubbornly holding out hope.

Thanks for your help.
