Maybe no one here understands my question.
Simply put, many people use their ipods and hook it up using the headphone jack that eventually goes into a computer by way of an input mixer that accepts inputs from microphones, stereo, cd player and now ipod input (using ipod headphone jack).
They are able to play their ipod playlists and songs.
I have a Sanza mp3 player. I created a playlist of mp3 songs. When I hook my headphone output to the input of the mixer and play, all I get is blips of sound. None of the music of any mp3 files play. Just constant blips of sound.
There is nothing particular to having to use an Ipod, but they have no problem playing their playlists. I need to know how to get my mp3 playlists to work. We are using the same cable hooks up. Ipod works, my mp3 doesnt.
Is the problem with using mp3 files? Think it is with a setting in Media Player or Itunes? The same mp3 files have been burned to a CD and the CD plays just fine. I do not know enough about using a mp3 player and will never buy an Ipod.
I have a need to play music on my Sanza mp3 player thru a mixer and then fed into a computer sound program like Media Player.
Other people use a earplug jack from mp3 player which goes into a mixer (had microphone, CD player, Ipod or mp3 input). The mixer is then cabled into sound card into a computer. People use Ipods all the time. I do not have, nor will I buy an Ipod. But when I plug my mp3 player, all I get is periodic blips of sound.
Since Ipods work, wondering why my mp3 player (using a mp3 file) will not play.
