If you used iTunes for purchasing, the files are encrypted AAC files and won't play on an mp3 player. Personally, I love AAC, I think it sounds better at the same bitrate than mp3, which is actually a fairly old encryption scheme.
That being said however, you can use iTunes by making a playlist of your purchased music to burn to a CD and then re-rip it into mp3.
Good luck and have fun!
I'm debating which portable mp3 player to buy. I currently download music from both Real and itunes. My question is, can I play files from itunes on anything other than an ipod, such as the Creative Zen Touch? If not, is there an easy file conversion that will enable me to do this? Thanks.
