Playing ipod in car

Sep 30, 2010 1:15AM PDT

Hi everyone I originally put this topic in another section. I did not know there was a special section for ipods. My name is Julia I have a 1994 Plymouth Voyager and it does not have a CD player. I was told that there was a way to listen to my ipod through my car radio. I have lots of songs on my ipod that I would love to listen to while driving. I heard of FM Transmitters and many other things on the internet. I prefer to listen to you guys because these forums have helped me many times in the past.

Use one w/ dock connector output if possible

My experience with FM transmitters and our stable of various iPods was pretty consistent. If you have a model with a dock connector, I'd suggest using that type of transmitter vs the el cheapo types that utilize the headphone jack. Sound quality, although still via FM, is much better. YMMV. For our older iPod Minis with 4GB mini hard drives we had decent luck on road trips/rental cars using a Griffin Roadtrip like this one-

Which transmitters you can use depends on the iPod model you have.
