You can connect your HFS100 directly to your home theater if you have the HDMI cable for your HFS100 or you can use the component output from your camcorder and connect to the component input which will play on your system. To burn true HD DVDs to play on your system, you will need a Blueray DVD burner to burn to Blueray DVDs, and then play on a Blueray DVD player. Otherwise, you can convert the mts files which the HFS100 creates, and convert to standard def vob files to burn to a regular burner to play on a regular DVD player.
I am planning to buy a Canon Vixia HF S100 or other HD camcorder. I have a Sony DVD Home Theatre System. I will need to record DVDs from the camcorder and then play them on the sony DVD player. I have an HD TV. Please give me advice on whether I can do this anfd how.
