Playing back recorded tv from wmc

by foxyboy / May 27, 2008 3:38 AM PDT

When I try and play back any tv recorded from wmc windows media player will stop responding and not play the file, neither will wmc, the only thing I have been able to run them on is nero show time player, though I really dont like the player at all find it a pain to use at times. Is there anything I can reinstall or download such as any codecs that could be corrupted to fix the problem. I cant seem to find any DVR-MS codec in google.

One other weird thing about this I have just found is that if I open a recorded tv file in nero player, and then try and open another in windows media player it will work but only if nero is open and playing another recorded tv file.

This used to work find in Windows media player but after formatting and reinstalling my os it seems to have stopped.

Thanks for any help.
