Pirated files
Nov 30, 2004 8:24PM PST

those files are illegal codes for pirated programs or games that are being shared.

Limewire isn't a program you want to mess around with...much like Kazaa for file sharing, they are notorious for passing around virus filled files, not to mention all the spyware that gets installed with the Limewire program itself. Avoid this place like the plague.....

LimeWire

Just to put my two cents worth in: I also had LimeWire and totally agree with Toni. Get rid of it - if you can. I have win xp and could not uninstall LimeWire, no matter what. I tried all options, but LimeWire was stuck there. Eventually I went to the Geek Forum and cleaned my pc up. Lots of work and I hope you will have better luck. LimeWire is like incredimail: a parasite and something to stay away from.
I now have Kazaa Litexxx (paid membership) and so far have had no problems, also because Napster etc. does not seem to have the choice of European music that I want.
