It may be "protected" in that the content is locked to some PC. http://www.zittware.com/Products/CDMaster32/Tutorials/CopyProtected_WMA_to_MP3.html notes how to transcode it so it's a non-issue. Available at many web links so don't think it's a secret.
A lot of players say they play wma files. I actually have one that does, but most don't tell you if they play the encrypted wma files. Does anybody know about a list of players that do? Even MS doesn't give you a real list. They just tell you that Vendor X has committed to doing so, not that they have or which players will. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not going to buy another player until I know for sure it plays those encrypted wma files.
