Play speed

Sounds odd, but I listen to a lot of lectures, and (worsened went not live) the lecturer drones on and on, way to slowly. If I listen on the computer, most normal programs have a speed setting, (WMP-not bad, vlc-very good, iTunes-rubbish).
The problem is that moving around, I can't really do that. Are there any MP3 Players that do that? I have an iPod Nano 5g already, but I am thinking of buying another MP3 player for that alone.
Also, are there any earphones that are comfortable in bed? I prefer the passive-noise-cancellation ones, but the ones I have kill if you lie on that side of your head.
