Thanks, NICE link!!! I hope they don't get in trouble for use the term "FUD", I belive that M$ has the market on that.
I read a article last year but forgot to bookmark it( sorry).
To sume it up it stated that CRTs and Plasmas have the most accurate color. The other display technologies requrie a lot of electronic correction and compansation to ever get close.
We do need to keep in mind how easly our eyes a fooled.
We see a series of still pictures and our eyes think that it's moving.
Turn off you monitor and look a the color of the screen,,usualy some form of dark grey. When you turn it back on your eyes are fooled in to saying that the grey is black!! What??? True.
If can find an old TV from 20~30 years ago and look at the color of the CRT it would be a light grey, They started to color the glass or put a dark coating on the face of the CRT to improve contrast.
Since my 32'TV has started to act up I'm looking into replacing it, so I'm spending more looking TV lately.
Im' thinking about getting a test patern DVD to use when shopping. John
