Plasma TV mount issue- Pioneer HD4360

I have a very specific spot on my wall desiginated to hang my 43" Pioneer . However the lateral shift on all the mounts I have seen allow only a left or right movement of about 2 inches or less. The problem is that where my studs are located ( required for the lag bolt screws) will shift the unit almost 6 inches off center. Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any suggestions?

Sanus expandable mount

There is an expandable mount made by Sanus that may help. The wall plate expands between 20''-42'' I believe. This may allow more room to play with. It sells for about $279.99 at Best Buy. Hope this helps.
