Plasma or LCD for PS3?

Okay I know there are a few threads already revolving around Plasma and LCD's but I have a more specific question. I have a budget on what I can spend for a new TV. and I want something that can support HDTV with further support of 1080i or 1080p. Since I am buying a PS3 I want a TV that offers HDMI inputs along with inputs that will receive form my DVD player and surround sound receiver and my Mediacom Cable box ''standard cable'' I might be switching to Direct TV here in the near future so options need to be open.

The TV's I am looking at are 2 offered by Dell, I know Dell isn't the highest rated, but from what I have seen in person these screens look really good in light and in darkness, so they fit my needs and I think they cover me for all the connection I might need or already have.

Here are the 2 Sets:

Now the main question is which one is better? Would the LCD give a better picture for Games and moves or will the LCD? Also if neither of these are any good could you point me to a brand that is in the same price range that would be better?

I am pretty open to brands, but I want a crisp image that supports 1080 HD... feel free to e-mail me any suggestions and post them here Happy
