plase help: explorer.exe server execution failed

Jan 10, 2014 6:42PM PST

Fo some reason, today i could not longer use explorer to open documents and files. I have been googling for solutions, I found many similar ones related to the Windows Media Player. However, my WMP seems to be working fine. Their solutions involved using the CMD.EXE (as Admin) and then running (net localgroup "Administrators" "NT Authority\Local Service" /add) command. It was no help to my problem.

One other clue is if I log on as a different user other than my own "WANDA" (such as Admin or Guest), the problem disappears!

Please help if you can

Better? Don't use the same name, tho. Now move all personal files over to the new account.

Sounds like the old "Corrupt Profile" issue.

And no again, Microsoft has never issued a fix for that one. Microsoft's article about that is comedy as they lead off with how to repair but then tell you to copy to a new profile and delete the old broken account.
