General discussion

Plain and simple

Jul 3, 2005 1:04AM PDT

After spending hours reading reviews, I am still not sure of what to buy. I have a Kodak Easy Share and printer dock that need to be replaced due to a fall off the counter.

In my next camera, I would like: large LCD screen; a way to use flash manualy; best and longest lasting or changeable batteries; shortest shutter lag time; and it must be EASY to put pictures on the internet. Video and large prints are not important to me. Cost under $1000.

I do need plain and simple.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might make. Pat

I want to be able to turn the flash on for sure-not depend on the auto flash, so, hopefully, there will be no shadows on faces.

That setting is normally called "Fill Flash".

The Casio Z55 does have fill flash.

The Sony DSC-W5 has all of what you're looking for, and more, it's so sharp, and has a huge LCD.
