Question

Pioneer VSX329K

Mar 20, 2017 10:49PM PDT

Hi All,
I am very new to this forum, I have few doubts. I recently purchased Pioneer a AV receiver VSX32K. I am facing some issue on connecting my PC to AV receiver through HDMI. my goal is to connect pc to Av receiver through HDMI cable and listen the music . there are 4 HDMI input in the receiver. ie DVD, ST/Cable , Game . when ever I tried to connect BD input sound will come. but the sound is not coming when I connect to other input like DVD,St/cable, Game.I changed bit rate at pc in many ways..no changes. my PC OS is windows 7. I want to know whether is it normal ? or Will PC input work with only BD hdmi input ? or the HDMI input of receiver is faulty ?
2) there is one USB port in the receiver. I used to listen song by inserting my pendrive connect to ti. since the volume is very minimal . I brought a external hard disck ( 2.5" laptop hard disk, 320GB, USB 2.0) . when connecting to the usb port of av receiver is it not detecting, it is showing in display as "no device connected) . I did some research on this based on this I guessed it is because of file format, I tried different file format NTFS, eFAT. no change. I copied only one folder alone and tried. no changes.. normally a USB file transfer mode it should be work. anybody know the reason.

Pleas help me to come out from this issue.
