So, I was able to get the blu ray player to display....hooked the player directly into the TV, then in the blu ray settings, turned off the deep color, then reconnected back to the AVR. This worked, however, like with the regular tv display, the blu ray is snowy and the screen jumpy at times.
Any advice on how to fix the snowy display would be greatly appreciated. Assuming if the TV is corrected, the blu ray will be as well.
Hoping I can get some help. I just recently purchased the Pioneer VSX-90 and walked through the setup today, connecting to a new Sony Blu Ray Player and my TV. I have an older Samsung TV - Samsung LN46A850 (Also known as the Series
. All connections are currently setup via HDMI and I'll add that the TV does not have an ARC HDMI port.
Now that everything is set up, the sound is great, however the video is somewhat snowy and the screen sort of "jumps" every know and then. The Blu Ray on the other hand, won't even display. I am able to see "blu ray disc" on startup and then the screen goes blank. (The sound is great and I can hear the blu ray playing, just no video)
I've tried switching out the HDMI cables to see if that might make a difference, I've set the AVR SCAL to "Pure" rather than "Auto".
I was told that I should possibly hook up an optical cable as well, that this might help, but I'd have to go purchase one.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
