my understanding of HDR is a function of the TV, not the contents. So 4K pass through should be the same.
I am thinking of purchasing a Pioneer VSX 1131 Receiver. Looking at the specs it says that it has Ultra HD pass through capabilities. What I want is a receiver that can pass through HDR as I am assuming HDR 4K blu-rays will be available down the road. Is Ultra HD the same as HDR?
My second question is, I saw some HDMI cables at Costco for $20 a pair that indicated that they were for 4K. Does this also mean that they would work for HDR 4K? Any recommendations for HDMI cables for HDR 4K?
