Pioneer VSX 1120-K or Onkyo TX-NR708? HELP?

by Andrezaoo / July 8, 2010 4:15 PM PDT

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand in which Av Receiver I should buy?
First I live in Australia, which is a problem since I'm getting USA receivers with 120v power supplies. I will get a step down transformer once I buy the receiver so no worries here. (I hope!)

Now, I have read into both and I've seen they have similar features, and a few features that set them apart like Onkyo's 7.2 channel against Pioneer's 7.1, etc.

I really do like Pioneer stuff, they sound good, look good, easy to operate, etc. However I have been hearing a lot about Onkyo's stuff too. So which of these 2 models have: 1- Better sound, 2- better image upscalling, 3- is more compatible with a wide range of speakers, 4- better overall quality (build, reliability, sound and image).
I'd really appreciate any help and I thank you all in advance! Happy

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
