Greetings. I actually called Pioneer today to inquire about this, because I was at Best Buy today talking with their AV Manager. He mentioned they were clearancing out their 4351HD (which of course is the 4350HD) to make way for a new model. They had literally just gotten it in their store today. He said they typically get new items there anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks before they will go on sale to the public. This allows them time for training and whatnot.
When I called Pioneer, a CS agent confirmed what I was told at Best Buy. He said as of today that they do not have model numbers for their new Pioneer line, but said it would more than likely be something like "55" or "60" (i.e. 4355hd or 4360hd), but he could not confirm.
I asked if he knew any of the new differences about the sets, and I was told that there will be a few. The main differences will be a true 10 bit processor or something along those line and improved black level details. He said their current processor on the "50" model lines doesn't actually clock out to 10 bits and is closer to a 7 than a 10. This improvement will help provide a crisper image. Things like connections, inputs, and other technologies will be very close to the previous line. As of today, the CS agent said it will probably be about 3 to 4 weeks before you will see any info on their website or online for that matter. Hope this all helps. I, too, have been looking at the 43" models of Pioneers for months and came real close to pulling the trigger this week. But now, I may just go ahead and wait....
Pioneer 4360HD & 5060HD is available for pre-order at http://www.monitoroutlet.com
I almost got the 4351 at the BestBuy this past week but I realized they were getting rid of them only to get the 4361 which is the BestBuy version of 4360.
