PIONEER OR PANASONIC PLASMA ?

Apr 4, 2005 2:22AM PDT

I have been shopping and doing some research on plasma tvs. I want to buy a 50" plasma. I found panasonics and pioneers pretty good. Now, I am comparing PIONEER PDP-5050HD vs PANASONIC 50XVS30. I don't know much about Panasonic one because I believe it's a newer model. Now, my question is, does 50xvs30 come with a media receiver as do the pdp 5050hd ? I don't see any reviews on panasonic model in question....but I read that panasonics have best picture quality and best contrast in the world of plasmas...I AM LITTLE CONFUSED...INFACT, LOT CONFUSED...can somebody tell me more about which one of these two is better ????

Pioneer or Panasonic 50" Plasma T.V.

I had the same problem. I saw a 50" Samsung at Circuit City advertised for a unbelievably low price so I purchased it on a Friday P.M. I came home and read brand new, and highly negative review of the Samsung, did not want to pay $5700.00 for the Pioneer so I paid $4500.00 for the Panasonic. Which is a better picture? I doubt a double blind study would answer that question. What I do know is that the Panasonic has HMDI, and that is enough for me. Now, back to the movie. Nate&Jake.
