Pioneer memo

I called Pioneer Electronics today to ask about the Pro 505MX and I was told by a customer service representative (Phil) that he had just recieved a memo informing him that Pioneer will not warranty this equipment. He told me that this equipment did not meet Pioneeer's U.S. standards and was released in Latin America. He also mentioned that there may be some legal action taken by Pioneer against these retailers.
He recommended the PDP 5060HD or the elite PRO 1160.
I am very disappointed with and their dishonest sales tactics. If they would just tell the truth about the equipment,warranty and price I could have made an informed decission. I cancelled my order by e-mail but their reply did not acknowledge my cancelation, it asked me to call. I never even received a confirmation of the change from the PDP 5060HD to the PRO 505MX. I call and they said it already shipped and when I asked for the tracking number, they did not have one. What is the deal with these guys? Now I have to call the credit card company and try to cancel through them. This was my first major internet purchase, what a disaster.
