pinnacle 9 plus

Hi i am running an advent 3419 with amd 64 processor 3400+
can anyone tell me why i can't capture from camera when i click on capture pinnacle says it has to close down,it throws up a file modname P1120vfw.dll which i have been told is the conflicting file
dealing with support has gone nowhere except in circles so i wondered if anyone has had same problem
