Pink Screen | Samsung 400 Series

I have connected the HDMI 2 cable from my verizon fios box to my Samsung 460 series TV but when i turn it on it turns pink for about half a second and then it's back to normal. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue? i dont want this issue to ruin the quality of the TV.

Often times a pink screen indicates that the box's output is set to send out of the component cables rather than the HDMI. You'll want to go into the menu settings of your FIOS box to change the output to send the signal out via HDMI only. Are you using a HDMI v.1.3 cable?

That will likely clear up the problem.
