Since this is the norm and not considered a bug/issue except by gamers. Gamers banish all others from their WiFi and don't run apps that interfere. They also learn over time to get a wired connection.
Only your newer gamer gets chuffed about this.

I've had a problem with my wireless connection for at least 2 years now. Every 5 minutes (exactly 5 minutes) my internet will basically cut out when I play various video games, which causes them to stop for around 2-3 seconds and then reconnect immediately after. My ping will shoot to 300 or higher (sometimes upwards of 600-700) and then go back down to around 33-35 after. I'm fairly certain it is not my internet provider as I have used an Ethernet cable to connect before (I'm unable to right now), and was not experiencing this problem. Another thing I have noticed is that sometimes if I am in a call in Skype, the random ping spike will not occur, but only rarely. I'm not sure what is causing this and would love any feedback as to what is happening and what I can do about it.
