I fetched the ENGELS version and on page 305 and alludes that you can change the PIN but was unclear if you needed the old PIN.
Hopefully you can do this.

Hi Guys.
Recently bought a 'refurbished' samsung TV (model No. above). When I try to set it up though, it asks for a pin that I have not created. I have gone through all the obvious ones - 0000, 1111, 2222, etc and 1234 but I am beginning to suspect the item may not have been refurbished at all, but is in fact second hand. I'm not really concerned about this since apart from the 'PIN' issue, it works perfectly - but the question is, is there any kind of reset that can be achieved that engineers or technicians would use?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately you need the original pin - it looks like I start at 0000 and go through every combination till 9999....
