Pictures in MS Word - Help

Oct 3, 2005 2:12AM PDT

I can't place a picture (photograph in the frame) in the right position in the WORD (2002) document.

The picture ''refuses'' to settle in at the location where I place it, but jumping up to the top of the page, blocking the header.

An anchor sign apppears at the upper right corenr of the frame.

Can anybody help?

right click on the frame, then play around on the position tab somewhere in the properties. Somehow, I always manage to get it where I want. The Help might be useful.

Putting it in a text box might help also. That has its own positioning mechanisms (also via right click, if you need them).

Sorry I can't be more exact. I don't have Word 2002, and each version might have its own pecularities.

Try This

Try this = To enable you to Drag or Relocate the picture to your desired location.
To achieve this, select your picture = normally you will see the ?Picture? Toolbar appear, and if not showing, Right click on the grey area above the opened page and select the ?Picture? toolbar from the drop down Menu.

Now select your picture and then on the ''Picture Tool Bar'' click on the small square box showing lines with a small dog. [When you wave your mouse over same shows ''Text Wrapping''] within the dropdown menu = click on ?Square?. Return to your picture and you will find you can move your picture to the required location.

Hope will assist

I do agree with Kees re using "Text Box"
I noticed he did not metion you can remove the "Box Lines" by =
To remove the Box Parameter Line = Double Click on the text box to create a hash appearance [you may have to click a second time to get the correct ?Hash?] and then go to ?Line Colour? [found in ?Draw?] and click ?No Line?.
