pictures don't show in text of outlook express

Recently when I receive e-mail the text shows in the message body and the pictures are as an attachment and require to be opened one by one. They used to show in the message body beside the text if they went to gether or under the text. Is there anything I can do? One message I received had 14 pictures and it is quite bothersome to open each one separately
