How "big" are the picture files that you're talking about. I've found that a relatively small picture file, say a jpg of 10-50 KB is sufficient for good definition on an internet page. Even a full screen picture is displayed fine if it's in the 75 kb size range or less. Larger picture files tend to get compressed on pages so they are distorted. Keep the picture sizes to something small and they'll load faster and look better.

Whenever I try to post digital pics on the interent either on my own webspace or on forums the pictures come out distorted and not the way they look on my pc.
I've found that as i reduce the image and file size this problem happens less. Why is it happening and how can i stop it?
