Picture Vibration from dvd player??

I just bought a Panasonic TC-37x1 LCD and hooked it up via component cables to an older(7-8 yrs old) Samsung DVD player. Some of my DVDs display themselves fine on the tv, while others have a vibrating picture. All the discs are clean and scratchless, I cleaned the dvd laser, and checked all of the connections. When I had my old CRT tv, I never had any display problems. What I can't wrap my head around is why some discs display perfectly and others are all jittery. Any help?
