picture shifted

I have a Sony TV...KV-27FV16. Just recently there is a 2 inch black gap on the right side. It appears that the picture has shifted to the left. There are no adjustments for this on the tv or with the remote. Is there a service mode you can put these tv's in, i.e. a series of buttons I can push to put this in a mode that will allow me to fix this problem,or any idea's?

http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm (powerstrip) allows one to tweak settings if your driver doesn't offer it. I have no need for powerstrip (or use it) but others tell me it's something for this issue.

How does that software work on a tv? I believe I,m dealing with a hardware problem...thanks
