Picture setting returns to dynamic ..........

mMy mode setting always returns to dynamic from what ever setting I try to keep on it (ie movie) also I have to change this setting every time I tun the set on. I hate the Dynamic setting, the only way it will stay current while the t.v. stays running is to use the "E-Mode".
What am I missing here?

Picture setting returns to dynamic ..........

under radar,

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you have the unit in shop mode. To fix this, you have to do one of these two things:

1. Hold down the menu button on the television (not the remote) for 10 seconds. The screen might flicker or display "Dymanic", and if that's the case, you're where you want to be. (If it says Shop Mode, then you've put it in shop mode). Shop Mode is toggled on and off this way.

2. Same as #1, but push the volume up button once, release, and then hold down the menu button for about 10 seconds.

Keep me posted!

You might be in store mode.

First, every input can have different settings. But, you should only have to change it once per input (interestingly, I discovered my set A550 even has different settings for the HD and SD channels).

Test to see if you are in "Store Mode". Press the INFO button on the remote, you should see a box near the bottom of the screen that says "STORE DEMO" (this worked on my TV, not positive it is Samsung standard)

To turn off store mode (or to turn it on):

Push the volume button on the television set (not the remote) up once.

Then press the menu button (TV again, not the remote) for about 12 seconds.

The screen will go black for a second, then turn back on. You will see a box that says "Standard Mode". If it says "Store Mode", then the TV was already in Standard Mode and you gust turned on Store Demo mode. Repeat again to turn it back off and post back as something else might be going on.

This worked

Thanks for the help. The recommendation to change out of shop mode using the menu button on the side of the TV worked. Now that I am out of shop mode, I am trying to fix a problem with my direct TV box and my Samsung. Everytime I change the channel on my direct TV box, I get an error message "searching for signals" that pops up twice lasting 5 seconds every time I change the channel. I thought changing out of shop mode would fix, but it did not help with the problem. Please help if you know a fix. Thanks
