General discussion

Picture quality poor, too much green and red....

Dec 16, 2005 1:50AM PST

I have a Sony KDF-E55A20 55'' Wega 3LCD rear projection HDTV. I also have a Panasonic SC-HT930 HTIB system (w/ wireless rear speakers) with a progressive scan 5 dvd player. TV picture quality is awesome, exspecially in HD. When I view DVD's, the image and color quality is not great. Everything seems washed in green or red. This only happens with DVD's. Any thoughts on why this is happening, and potential trouble shooting would be great. All cables are component, TV to DirecTV received is HDMI.

Thanks

Too much green and red? No worries, your TV's just celebrating the holidays.

That or reflecting all the decorations you put up.

Sorry I can't be of any actual help.

cables were hooked up wrong. Green and blue in wrong slot. I thought it was odd that the director of 40 Year Old Virgin choose to shot every scene with a red or green background, and a 100% red and green wardrobe.

Thank you for the help.
