Line Conditioner

Try a line conditioner: Such as Monster Cable or Panamax. I have a Panamax and it does help and protects all your valuable components. If this does not help, try adjusting your convergence also.

A good one will try to filter any noise that may be present in the power lines.

Not sure what a Sony Dream system consists of, but I would bet that plugging in an s-video, and coming out on component means you are relying on it's internal upconverter, which may or may not be the best. Plug your satellite in direct to the TV, via S-video and see if it looks any better.

OK you didn't give the model# of you tv or dish revciver.
So I will asume that you have a HD-TV and HD Dish reciver.
You should be using component cables from the Dish reciver to your TV. John
