Resolved Question

PICTURE OPTIONS - HDMI PC

Nov 27, 2011 8:27PM PST

Hello! I just bought a UA55D7000LM and am having a problem with it whilst i have it connected to my laptop via HDMI. Long story short... The vast majority of the "Picture" settings are not able to be selected or changed! No smooth motion, no advance settings, just the most basic settings like brightness and contrast are available. Why is this? Please help me!

VICTORY!

Problem solved! You mentioned that "HDMI is a pixel-to-pixel resolution", so i changed my display resolution on the laptop output to 1920x1080 and all of the missing picture options became available. But then i had the issue that the desktop was being stretched, so i used the TV settings to "Fit Screen". Now it's perfect! Thank you! Though it will take some getting used to, this resolution on this size TV is so sharp and bright! Hurts my head!
