Picture loss every few seconds using Xbox 360Component Cable

by Isaac Kingsley / November 1, 2009 6:43 AM PST

While using my xbox 360 the LED in the corner flashes all the time, every couple of seconds the screen will go blank then the picture reapears, but it only happens when using the xbox 360 Via Component
My Sky Digital Box Via Scart is fine and my PC Via HDMI is fine

It is a Samsung LE37A558P3F

Picture loss every few seconds using Xbox 360Component Cabl

Isaac Kingsley,

If everything else works well, it's likely the game console. There have been some instances where HDMI outputs would cause the screen to blank out due to HDCP, but those protections aren't applicable to the component cables.

What resolution are you using? Does lowering the resolution on the game console help keep the picture stable?

Turned my tv on to watch sky and the same thing happened once or twice, the console was in 1080p but I changed it go 1080i and it persisted :/

Isaac Kingsley,

I'm not sure what else to suggest. It's not the HDMI blanking out the screen, so it's either the television or the source.
