There are a lot of options here.
Directv HR20-250 DVR, 2 Satilite tuners, 2 OTA ATSC tuners. HDMI, componet, and S-video outputs.
Lots of way to hook to your HDTV and use the PIP function. The Sony manual should give some examples. John

PIP HR20

Were you able to get it to work. I have the HR20 and both of my signals in the PIP boxes are the same channel. I called directv they said with that receiver there are two tuners but only one tuner going out. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get PIP in the HR20 aside from buying another receiver I would love to hear it.

No I could not get it working I think the only way is to get an HD antena so I can at least get local channels in PIP.

Can you tell me about this HD antenna? How much does it cost and how would it get connected to a HR20? I tried using a cheap receiver and a splitter but the HD signal cannot be split anymore.

Directv will install it with your Dish it is $49.00 dollars I have been told this would give me all my local channels. for PIP.

THank god Directv installed 4 lines in the house and I am currently only using 3. I went up to the attic and installed a barrel adapter and dropped 50 ft of coax down the wall to my main tv with the other two cables that were already in the wall. I hooked it up to a cheap older directv receiver and access card I had laying around and I am getting PIP now with all of the channels. The good thing is the settings on my harmony remote control the hr20 box and the older directv box. SO when I switch over to the left or right tv inputs the same channel buttons work well with both receivers with PIP. It is working but it is a pain in the ***. You would think after all these years Directv would have this fixed. With dish network and digital cable I could have PIP without an additional receiver no problem.
