Pick TV channels you want???

Nov 28, 2005 12:08PM PST

I wanted to know if there was a service that allowed you to pick what TV channels you wanted. I want to see Sports with out having to pay for all the other crap. I didn't think there is a service like that out there, but I knew, if there was, U members of C|net forums would know.

Thanks,
David

During the last couple of days there have been news stories about the FCC investigating whether they will enforce a new way of buying channels for the masses. Instead of being forced to buy "packages" that may include a lot of useless stations, we can select our own channels. The result may be that a lot of cable channels go out of business and there is the potential that we may end up paying more for ala-carte vs. packages. Personally I will eliminate the 50 CSPAN stations and of course, the Basket Weaving channel.
