There are plenty of programs that say they can recover deleted data from an sd card. Be sure not to pay for shareware until you know from the demo mode it works. I'd start with RECUVA (free). If no luck, see the top post in our http://forums.cnet.com/storage-forum for other programs. Googling for WINDOWS UNDELETE will find programs also.
Why not use Windows Explorer to copy data from the sd-card to the right folders on your hard disk? Then only delete them for that once you have a backup on still another medium. You know how Explorer works: reliable. Apparently, random 'upload' programs are less reliable. That's why we backup.
I just purchased a Panasonic HC-V100. When I went to upload from the card to Picasa, it uploaded all photos, but none of the videos, and the videos appear to have been deleted. I told Picasa to only delete uploaded data, but it doesn't appear that's how it worked out. My daughter performed a dance solo that she'd really like to see that was deleted...any help would be much appreciated!
