photosmart C6380 with scan problems - docproc.msi

Nov 25, 2010 4:50AM PST

I have had some problems with this printer. At the suggestion of the HP phone support person I uninstalled all HP related stuff and downloaded/installed the latest driver software. I have regained control of printer, but scanner has problems.

I have tried scanning from HP solution center, Photoshop and other software. All bring up an HP window that complains about not finding docproc.msi. I have searched my entire hard drive. No docproc.msi

I have searched the internet. Lot's of references to docproc.msi but none of them from HP. The scanner worked one time but not any more.

hi

has the issue been taken care off, and i am sorry for the late reply.
For these types of issues what you can do is ,
Download the ms clean up utility (msicuu2.exe)and run it ,
It would open up with a window which will show you all the msi files , remove the docproc and you are ready to go .

DocProc Problem
Feb 28, 2011 2:27PM PST

I had the same DocProc problem after installing the software for Photosmart C310 wireless printer. After searching for the DocProc.msi on the installation disc and the HP website downloads, I intalled Windows Intall Clean Up Utility 2.5.0.1 at no charge from http://www.brothersoft.com/windows-installer-cleanup-utility-71773.html. This let me remove the DocProc and I have had no problems since. One big warning though, DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING ELSE on your computer!!!! This might damage critical software with irreversible repair on your computer!

Good luck!
