Photoshop/light gaming suggestions for a notebook?

Hello,

Ive recently decided I would like to buy a notebook. Though I do love MMO's, Im not really looking to be doing most of that type of gaming on a notebook, something that can handle Adventure games or Bioshock types would be nice. Also really need it to handle Photoshop. Price range I'm looking at would be 1k or less, I can however keep an open mind for something a little over that. Mac or not also can keep an open mind to either suggestions.

Oh I forgot to ask was the Vaio FW series any good for these types of activities?
