Photoshop Elements 6.0

Nov 4, 2007 6:30AM PST

Has anyone used Photoshop Elements 6.0 that has also used Photoshop Elements 5.0?
If so what would be the advantage of upgrading to 6.0?
I have Elememts 5.0 and it works fine.
I have thought about downloading the trial version of 6.0, but I get tired of having the window to upgrade to the paid version poping up everytime I try to do anything in the program.
Would it be worth the $79.00 to upgrade?
Thanks
Wayne

It lists 14 updates or changes by my count.

So what is new with this version of Adobe Photoshop Elements?

Grim, I have Photoshop Elements V7 although I have never used it. I only use Photoshop V7. I may be tempted to go to Protoshop CS.
Have you used CS? Worth it?

There are a huge ammount of options added from v7 to CS...

... which is now in the 3 version. The biggest difference I can think of between Photoshop 7 (and even CS2) and CS3 that you might find useful is that filters are non-destructive in CS3.

CS2 also added a vanishing point option to allow for easier copying and pasting new layers from other sources while maintaining proper perspective. CS3 continues this with minor improvements. A big jump in CS3 is the ability to take .DWG files from Autocad and open them up in photoshop along with 3D support. How much you would find some of this useful, I can't say.

I'm not completely a fan of the new interface in CS3, but I'm getting used to it.

Grim, your link was broken. I also can go to Adobe and get the trial version also. Thanks for thinking of me concerning Adobe CS.

Thanks for that link.
That pretty much answered all my questions.
